ROMEOVILLE, Illinois – In the University of Alabama in Huntsville's third cross country meet of the season, the Chargers men's team finished 16th overall in the 8k while the women's side finished 17th in the 6k race.

The men's side finished 17th out of 27 competing teams with Dakota Frank pacing the Chargers with a time of 25:36.5, finishing 71st. The women's team's 17th overall finish came in a field of 26 teams while freshman Rose Betts led UAH for the second time this season with a time of 23:10.4 while finishing 53rd.

Across the men's team, Conner Patterson was a tenth of a second behind Frank, finishing 73rd with a 25:36.6. Jackson Griggs came in 90th for UAH with a 25:47.9 while Jake Tournillion was fourth for UAH at 99th with a 25:54.4. Shepp Collier finished 101st with a 35:56.1, Cole Robinson 127th at 26:13.5 and Daniel Gill 148th at 26:31.0 to round out the Chargers' top finishers.

Through the first 2.2k split Robinson led the side while tied for 37th while Frank and Patterson were tied for 45th and Patterson 48th.

Lindsey Barnes was 1.5 seconds behind Betts to finish second for UAH and 75th overall. Lexi Hinote finished 95th overall with a 23:48.9 while Madison Harvey finished 113th at 24:12.2, Autumn Betts 121st at 24:19.1, Sarah Hertz 127th at 24:26.8 and Sarah Artavia 128th at 24:27.0.

At the 2.2k split, Barnes led UAH in 61st while Rose Betts was right behind at 62nd. Hinote and Hertz followed at 81st and 94th, respectively.

The Chargers' next meet will come at their home course in Huntsville at the UAH Chargers XC Invite on Saturday, October 24.
