The University of Alabama in Huntsville is readying its final homestand of the regular season Friday and Saturday in SportsMED Arena at Spragins Hall in preparation for the Gulf South Conference volleyball championship the Chargers will host next week.

UAH will first host Valdosta State Friday at 6 p.m. before celebrating senior day Saturday before a 2 p.m. match against AUM.

The Chargers (23-2, 15-1 GSC) capped an undefeated October and are coming off a 3-0 week with a 3-0 home win against Lee before UAH went on the road and captured the program's first GSC regular season championship and the No. 1 seed in the championship tournament with a 3-0 win at West Alabama and 3-1 victory at Mississippi Christian.

Valdosta State (16-12, 10-6) is coming to Huntsville on a three-game win streak, though it lost its previous matchup with the Chargers on Oct. 10, 3-1. AUM (3-24, 1-15), meanwhile, will be coming to Huntsville after a match at Montevallo Friday night. The Warhawks won their most recent match, 3-0 against Union, in their lone conference win this season.
