NASHVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team fell in a matchup against Gulf South Conference opponent Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday evening 78-77.
The Chargers dropped to 14-7 (9-6 GSC), while the Trojans improved to 13-7 (8-6 GSC) with the win.
UAH and TNU were in a heated battle in the first half as the Trojans went into the half with a 35-34 lead. The teams then each scored 43 points in the second half as TNU held on for the one point victory.
Three Chargers scored 16 or more points in the game, with
Quentin Toles leading the way with 19 points.
Matt Thurman added 18 points while
Thomas Allard totaled 16 with six rebounds.
Defensively,
Jordan Mabe had three steals to lead the way for the Chargers, while Allard and
Rayven Turner each tallied a block apiece.
Next up for the Chargers is a matchup with Delta State on February 5th at 7:30 p.m. at SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall.
