HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The UAH softball team capped off the Sam Baldwin Invitational with a flawless 6-0 record, showcasing powerful hitting, pitching, and defense across three days of competition. The Chargers outscored their opponents 68-18 over the weekend, with multiple standout performances fueling the sweep.
Notable Performances
• Jill Cockrell had multiple multi-RBI games, including a 3-RBI triple against Miles.
• Brittany Slaten combined speed and power with two triples and several stolen bases over the weekend.
• Abby Flynt launched two clutch home runs while driving in five RBIs across two games.
• Kennah Lacy and Brylie Waechter dominated on the mound, combining for four wins and allowing just four earned runs in 14 innings.
• Alexa Douthitt and Mia Brown consistently drove in runs, helping the Chargers generate explosive innings, including a 12-run second inning against Kentucky Wesleyan.
The Chargers will open Gulf South Conference play against Lee University on Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. at Les Stuedeman Field. The weekend continues with a doubleheader on Feb. 21 starting at 12 p.m.
