ST. LOUIS, Mo. | The UAH men's lacrosse team fell 17-7 to Maryville on Saturday afternoon at Maryville University. The Chargers drop to 2-4 on the season, while the Saints improve to 3-0.
Aydan Weiszhar led UAH with two goals, while Makai Hillmon, Jackson Land, Jake Bertils, Harrison Skinner, and Logan Pinkerton each added one.
UAH scored four of its seven goals in the first half, including two in the second quarter to cut the halftime deficit to 5-4. Maryville pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Chargers 7-1, and added five more goals in the fourth to secure the win.
The Chargers collected 28 ground balls, went 19-of-24 on clears, and won 10 faceoffs. UAH fired 21 shots, 15 on goal, with goaltender Jake Sander making 12 saves.
The UAH men's lacrosse team returns to the road on Monday, Feb. 23, taking on Quincy University in Quincy, Ill.
