HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team defeated No. 11 West Alabama 70-64 on Friday night in Gulf South Conference action in SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall in their final regular season contest of 2025-26.
The Chargers wrapped up their regular season at 20-8 (15-7 GSC), while the Tigers dropped to 24-4 (19-3 GSC) with the loss.
UAH held a 34-26 lead into the half after shooting 9-for-16 from three in the period along with a 7-for-11 mark from the free throw line.
In the second half, the Chargers were able to convert on 18-of-19 free throws to seal the game.
Quentin Toles led the way for the UAH offense as the senior scored 20 points on Senior Night. Toles went 4-for-8 from three and 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
Bryce Mason made his first start of the season and put up 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting and made all five of his free throw attempts.
Matt Thurman led the Chargers in rebounds with nine while also pouring in 14 points on 4-for-8 from three.
The Chargers held an 11-to-7 advantage in assists and outpaced the Tigers in free throw percentage 83.3 percent-to-40 percent.
UAH clinched the fourth seed and a quarterfinal home game for the GSC Championships and will host No. 5 seed Valdosta State on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
