Late Surge by Lincoln Memorial Hands UAH 9-8 Defeat

HARROGATE, Tenn. | The UAH men's lacrosse team fell 9-8 to Lincoln Memorial on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers move to 3-10 on the season, while the Railsplitters improve to 6-4.

UAH struck first in the opening minutes of the game, with Logan Pinkerton scoring off an assist from Aydan Weiszhar, followed by a man-up goal from Brock Deist assisted by Chris Aiello to give the Chargers a 2-0 lead. Lincoln Memorial responded in the second quarter, and the first half ended with UAH holding a 4-2 advantage.

The third quarter saw back-and-forth action, with goals from Aydan Weiszhar and Carter Henninger keeping UAH ahead 6-5 heading into the fourth quarter. Lincoln Memorial surged late in the final period, scoring four goals to take a 9-7 lead. UAH added a late goal from Henninger with 18 seconds remaining, but the comeback fell short, finalizing the score at 9-8.

Colin Kelly and Carter Henninger led the Chargers with two goals each, while Brock Deist, Jackson Land, Logan Pinkerton, and Aydan Weiszhar each added one.

Goalkeepers Tommy Peer and Jake Sander recorded 16 saves in the contest. As a team, UAH totaled 39 shots with 22 on goal, collected 30 ground balls, went 18-of-21 on clears, and won 12 faceoffs.

The Chargers will look ahead to hosting Montevallo for Senior Day at Charger Park on Saturday, April 4, with a 1 p.m. start time.
