YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The No. 24 UAH women's lacrosse team traveled to Young Harris, Georgia, on Tuesday afternoon to take on Young Harris and came away with a 20-9 win over the Mountain Lions.
UAH improved to 8-7 on the year with the win, while YHC dropped to 8-4.
The Chargers jumped out to a six goal lead as they built a 7-1 advantage after one quarter of play. The lead built to 13-4 by the halftime break. UAH outpaced YHC in the second half as well 7-to-5.
Corinne Baker led UAH in scoring with a career high seven goals and three ground balls. Reigning Gulf South Conference Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week
Olivia Rewers tallied four goals for the Chargers and also hauled in four ground balls.
Overall, eight different Chargers netted goals in the win.
Sarah Cole and
Brenna Bohan each had two caused turnovers to lead the UAH defense. Cole additionally had two draw controls and scooped up two ground balls.
The Chargers will return to action in GSC play when they take on Lander at 10 a.m. in Greenwood, South Carolina, on April 11.
