GREENWOOD, S.C. | The No. 24 UAH women's lacrosse traveled to Greenwood, South Carolina, on Saturday and defeated Gulf South Conference opponent Lander 14-6.
The Chargers improved to 8-7 overall and (4-0 GSC), while the Bearcats fell to 6-8 (2-2 GSC).
On the offensive side,
Ava Fudjinski,
Corinne Baker and
Kate Simoncic each scored three goals to lead the Chargers.
Olivia Rewers and
Ella Rutherford added two goals apiece, while Rewers led the team with two assists.
Goalkeeper
Brooke Denny made six saves for UAH. The Chargers won the draw circle 12-9, held a 20-16 edge in ground balls and out-shot Lander 24-17.
The Chargers are back in action on April 18th when they take on No. 1 Flagler in St. Augustine, Florida.
