HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The UAH softball team is headed to Pensacola for the NCAA Division II Softball South Regional, the NCAA announced Monday morning. UAH will join No. 2 West Florida, No. 3 West Alabama, and No. 6 Montevallo at the regional site this weekend.

The Chargers will open regional play against West Florida on Thursday, May 14, at 1:00 p.m. CT at the UWF Softball Complex.

The Chargers enter the NCAA South 2 Regional with an overall record of 36-22 that includes a 18-15 mark in Gulf South Conference play this season, as UAH most recently fell to West Alabama in the GSC tournament semifinals last Friday.

The winner of the Pensacola Regional will advance to the Super Regionals to face the winner of the Saint Leo Regional. The Saint Leo South 1 Regional features No. 1 Saint Leo, No. 4 AUM, No. 5 Tampa, and No. 8 Spring Hill.
