The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team defeated Union 1-0 Wednesday night at Charger Park, picking up their third win in conference play.
UAH (6-0-1, 3-0-1 GSC) broke through in the 73rd minute when senior forward
Alejandro Tocino Vidal scored his third goal of the season off an assist from senior defender
Wesley Atoyebi. The Chargers held the lead through the remainder of the match to secure the shutout victory over Union (3-5-0, 2-2-0).
The Chargers finished the match with 18 shots, with 11 on goal.
Oli Orzechowski led UAH with five shots and three shots on goal, while
Donovan Pruitte added four shots and two shots on goal.
Stellios Starakis recorded two shots, both on goal, while
Alejandro Tocino Vidal also registered two shots, including the game-winning goal.
Junior goalkeeper
Sonny Wright played all 90 minutes for the Chargers, making one save while allowing no goals for his third shutout of the season.
The Chargers are back in action Saturday, September 26, traveling to Montgomery, Alabama, to take on AUM at 3:30 p.m.
