AMERICUS, Georgia – The UAH men's soccer team remained unbeaten to open the 2026 season with a 2-0 road win over Georgia Southwestern Thursday evening.
After a scoreless opening half, the Chargers broke through in the 50th minute when senior
Oli Orzechowski scored his third goal of the season to give UAH the lead. Orzechowski struck again in the 66th minute, this time off an assist from senior
Brennan Leblanc, to give the Chargers a 2-0 advantage to win the game.
The brace marked Orzechowski's second multi-goal performance of the season. He finished the match with six shots, including four on goal, leading the Chargers in both categories. UAH controlled the match offensively, finishing with a 20-5 advantage in shots and a 10-5 edge in corner kicks.
Junior
Sonny Wright recorded his second shutout of the season in goal for the Chargers, making two saves to hold the Hurricanes scoreless.
The Chargers will return to Charger Park Saturday afternoon to host Tuskegee at 3:30 p.m.
