9/4/2026 5:27:00 PM

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team returns to Charger Park on Saturday, Sept. 5, hosting Tuskegee at 6 p.m. The match was originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. but was moved due to extreme heat.

Saturday's matchup against Tuskegee will mark the first meeting between the Chargers and Golden Tigers in program history.

UAH has opened the 2026 season in impressive fashion, posting a 3-0-0 record through its first three matches while outscoring opponents 10-1. The Chargers most recently picked up a 2-0 road victory over Georgia Southwestern on Thursday, holding the Hurricanes to just five shots.

Senior forward Oli Orzechowski has been at the center of the Chargers' attack this season. Orzechowski delivered his second brace of the season against Georgia Southwestern, scoring in the 50th and 66th minutes to secure the victory. The two-goal performance brought his season total to four goals.

The Chargers have also been strong defensively, allowing just one goal through their first three matches. Sophomore defender Samuel Quickfall was named the GSC Defender of the Week following UAH's opening week, while junior goalkeeper Sonny Wright has recorded two shutouts to help the Chargers remain unbeaten.
