HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Saturday's match between the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Tuskegee has been canceled due to severe weather and lightning in the area.
Play was halted at the 28-minute mark because of lightning in the vicinity of Charger Park. After monitoring the weather conditions, officials determined that the match could not safely resume.
The match will not be completed and has been officially canceled.
The Chargers will open Gulf South Conference play on Friday, Sept. 11, traveling to Livingston, Alabama, to take on West Alabama at 7:30 p.m.
