Anthony Komara served as an assistant coach for the Chargers for eight years before being elevated to the role of associate head coach in March 2021.
During Komara’s time in Huntsville, the Chargers have reached the NCAA tournament six times including hosting a pair of South Regionals in which the team reached the regional final in addition to another regional final appearance, have won three Gulf South Conference tournament titles, and have captured three GSC regular season crowns.
With Komara on the staff, UAH has produced an All-American, six All-South Region performers and 13 All-GSC selections, and two Chargers have been selected to play in the Division II All-Star Game during that time period.
Komara began his coaching career as a student-assistant video coordinator at Auburn in the 2009-10 season.
Komara graduated from Auburn with a bachelor’s in marketing in April of 2013 and earned his MBA from North Alabama in 2015.
