Mark Frey was announced as the third head coach in UAH men’s lacrosse history on Oct. 4, 2023, as he enters his second season at the helm of the program.
In Frey's first season in Huntsville, the Chargers garnered five All-Peach Belt Conference performers highlighted by Brayden O'Neill as GSC Co-Defender of the Year as UAH went 7-9 overall and 2-2 in PBC play. O'Neill was additionally recognized a USILA Honorable Mention All-American.
Frey has a bevy of men’s lacrosse coaching experience throughout the NCAA, as he comes to the Rocket City after most recently spending the last three seasons as head coach at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina.
A native of McLean, Virginia, he previously assisted at Methodist University, Florida Southern and Cleveland State following head coaching stints at Ferrum and Loyola Marymount.
Moreover, Frey began his collegiate playing career at Ohio State before transferring to McDaniel College, where he helped the Green Terror earn a top-10 national ranking.
He is an alumnus of McDaniel College, graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts.
