James Ballamy was named the head women's soccer coach on Feb. 5, 2020, after a season-long stint as the interim head coach which followed two seasons as the team's assistant. He enters his sixth season at the helm of the Chargers in 2024.
Overall in his time as head coach of the Chargers, Ballamy has guided one D2CCA All-South Region performers, three USC All-South Region performers, 12 CSC Academic All-District honorees, six All-GSC awardees and one GSC All-Academic performer.
No stranger to the Chargers, Ballamy was a three-year member of the UAH men's soccer team from 2013-15. Ballamy additionally assisted the UAH Athletic Communications office during his graduate work at UAH.
In his three-year career, the Worthing, England, native appeared in more than 40 matches for UAH and picked up five goals -- each coming during his senior season in 2015. He also added four assists to total 14 points during his time in Huntsville.
