Streak Snapped By 2-0 Loss At Christian Brothers

Box Score MEMPHIS – Ending a four-game winning streak, the UAH men's soccer team was shut out for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon as it fell 2-0 on the road at Christian Brothers. The Chargers fall to 8-4-0 (3-1-0 Gulf South Conference) with the loss, and CBU improves 11-3-0 (2-0-0 GSC).

The Bucs road a pair of early goals from Jose Ferraz to the victory. He scored in the seventh minute and again in the 23rd, and the two scores would be all Christian Brothers would need.

Outshooting the Chargers, Christian Brothers turned in 15 shots compared to 10 for UAH, and the Bucs held a 7-3 advantage in shots that reached the target as Kel Markert made five saves.

The contest was quite contentious with 38 fouls being whistled and seven yellow cards issued, including five to the Blue and White.

The Chargers will look to avoid losing consecutive games for the first time this season as they host Concordia-Selma on Wednesday. Kick-off at Charger Field is scheduled for 3 p.m.
