MEMPHIS – Picking up a pair of two-goal performances from
Cady Reisman and
Khadijah Jannah, the UAH women's soccer team defeated Christian Brothers on the road Sunday afternoon by a 4-1 score. The victory moves the Lady Chargers to 5-7-2 (3-1-1 Gulf South Conference) while CBU falls to 5-7-2 (2-4-0 GSC).
The Lady Chargers jumped past idle North Alabama into third place in the GSC standings with the decision.
Scoring first in the contest, Reisman scored an unassisted goal in the 37th minute, but the 1-0 advantage would not last long. Just five minutes later in the 42nd, Alex Bickenbach put one past
Iris Gunnarsdottir to create a 1-1 tie.
It would be the only goal she allowed on the day, finishing the contest with four saves while earning the win.
Breaking the tie and blowing the contest wide open, the visitors scored three times in 11 minutes during the second half.
Jannah scored the game-winner in the 69th followed by Reisman tacking on her second strike of the game in the 72nd. Icing the game, Jannah scored her second in the 80th minute.
The pair of goals gives Jannah eight on the season while Reisman now owns six.
For the game, Christian Brothers held a slight advantage in shots at 16-15, though UAH was able to put eight shots on target while the Lady Bucs only had five on goal.
The Lady Chargers will return to action on Friday when they host North Alabama at noon at Charger Field.
