UAH Welcomes Pair Of Opponents

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Looking to bounce back from its overtime setback against Lincoln Memorial on Sunday, the UAH men's soccer team will host Christian Brothers on Thursday afternoon before welcoming Tennessee Wesleyan on Saturday. Action on the pitch at Charger Field is slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. and noon, respectively.

The Chargers have received scoring from multiple players as Kyle Simmons continues to lead the way after he registered three goals in his collegiate debut. Joining him and the other players who tallied in the 7-0 defeat of Talladega is Felix Hjalmarsson as he scored UAH's lone goal against LMU.

In the two upcoming contests, the Blue and White will look to get off to a better start. In the first pair of contests this season, UAH has recorded just 10 shots in the first half compared to a total of 25 in the second half. That differential is due in part to turning up the pressure after falling behind 1-0 early in the second half against the Railsplitters on Sunday.

In the all-time series between UAH and the Bucs, the Chargers own a 12-9-3 advantage. The last win against Christian Brothers, however, came during the Gulf South Conference Tournament in 2009 as CBU took the two meetings a season ago.

Against Tennessee Wesleyan, UAH has a 5-0 advantage including a 1-0 win last season and a 3-0 triumph in 2009.

Christian Brothers comes to town sporting a 1-1 record having lost 2-1 to Thomas and defeating Union 1-0. The Bulldogs from TWC are 2-1 as they defeated Cumberland 2-0 in their most recent contest.
