HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team will begin the final week of its season on Monday, travelling to Shorter for a 6:30 p.m. CDT kick-off. UAH enters the game at 1-12 (0-9 Gulf South Conference) while Shorter owns a mark of 3-11-1 (2-7 GSC).
Continuing to lead the UAH offensive attack is
Ragnar Leosson who edges out
Kyle Simmons for the team lead in points with 12 as he has scored five times while also adding a pair of assists.
In the first meeting between Monday's hosts and the Blue and White, Leosson scored the team's goal in a 2-1 setback in Huntsville. The Chargers very well could have seen a different result in that contest as they applied great pressure to Shorter in the contest's opening minutes but unfortunately were unable to put one past until Leosson's strike in the 61st minute.
Since defeating the Chargers, Shorter has only one win to its credit, going 1-7 during that span. In their previous two contests, the Hawks have not scored as they have lost 4-0 to Christian Brothers and 3-0 to Union.
