UAH Travels To Georgia Southwestern Saturday

LIVE STATS
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team returns to the road on Saturday as the Chargers travel to Georgia Southwestern for a noon CDT match. The Chargers enter the contest at 0-6, while GSW owns a 1-5-1 mark.

The Chargers played a strong contest against Shorter in their last time out, putting together a solid string of offensive chances in the game's opening minutes to buck a trend that had seen the team fall behind quickly in contests.

Shifting up top from his usual midfield position, Ragnar Leosson scored his second goal of the season in the contest to take over the team lead in points with five on the year, but the Blue and White ultimately fell 2-1.

Saturday's hosts enter the game on a two-game slide having dropped a 4-3 match at Lander and a 2-0 decision at Georgia Gwinett. The Hurricanes are paced by Michael Corrigan's five goals, and the team has allowed on average nearly 2.5 goals per contest.

A year ago the two teams met in Huntsville with UAH taking away a 5-0 victory. Mitch Wilson notched the game's first score, while Kyle Simmons added a goal and an assist in the contest.
