HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to visiting Shorter on Friday night at Charger Park, falling to 4-7-0 (3-4-0 Gulf South Conference). The Hawks improve to 8-3-0 (3-3-0 GSC).

Corrie Thomas scored her sixth goal of the season in the 81st minute of the game for the only score in the match.

The contest was an even affair with both teams taking 13 shots and both teams recording five shots on goal, and the visitors held a slim 5-4 advantage in corners on the night.

Maddie Maurice and
Isabel Shanteau both led the Chargers with three shots including one each that was on target.
Melody Dodd,
Alexcia Alexander, and
Jillian Young had UAH's three other shots that were on frame in the game.
Larae Breaux made four stops in the contest to give her 54 for the season.

There were a combined 15 fouls whistled in the game, and the referee went to the book on three occasions.
