NASHVILLE, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team defeated nonconference host Trevecca Nazarene 3-1 on Tuesday night. The Chargers improve to 10-7, while the Trojans slip to 12-9.
For the second match in a row, UAH took the first two sets in convincing fashion. UAH delivered a five-point rally to end the first with a set score of 25-17.Â
The Chargers continued their early success throughout the second set, as the Chargers outhit the Trojans .310-.033. UAH won 25-17 in the second, with freshman
Jordan Morrison leading the offense in the frame with four kills and a .667 hitting percentage.
Trevecca Nazarene held its own in the third set, overcoming five UAH set and match points in the frame to win 29-27. The Chargers took the lead for the first time in the set at 13-12 and led the Trojans for much of the rest of the set. Â Five lead changes took place during the third stanza.
The Chargers returned to their first and second set form in the fourth set, winning 25-17. Morrison again added four kills to give her a team-high 16 kills. JuniorÂ
Haley Snyder also swung well with a .750 hitting percentage for the set.

Overall, the Chargers had a higher hitting percentage, .224-.090, than the Trojans, and also totaled more blocks (7.0-3.5) and digs (60-56). Senior
Ashton Baker picked up a double-double with a season-high 49 assists and 17 digs while
Haley Snyder led the team with six blocks.
Jordan Morrison led the match offensively with a team-high .500 swinging percentage. Â Junior
Olivia Bauman notched 10 kills on the night, while
Haley Snyder and freshman
Anna Claire Johnson collected nine and eight respectfully.
UAH next heads to Arkadelphia, Arkansas for the Henderson State Invitational. The Chargers will face Southeastern Oklahoma, Ouachita Baptist and host Henderson State in the invitational.
