HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville (14-9, 8-7 GSC) volleyball team fell to Gulf South Conference rival North Alabama (16-9, 12-4 GSC) in four sets on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall.

The Chargers held strong in the opening set, taking a 1-0 advantage with a 27-25 win in the first frame. UAH rallied late with a six-point run to take a 21-19 lead over the Tigers. UNA battled back to tie it at 25-25, but the Chargers were able to finish off the opening win on a kill by
Anna Claire Johnson and a service ace by
Shelby Traff.

North Alabama took control of the match in the following three sets, winning by consecutive scores of 25-10, 25-18 and 25-11. UNA's Natasha Fomina led the attack for the Tigers with 20 kills and a .529 hitting percentage.

Freshman
Jordan Morrison led the Chargers with eight kills on Tuesday, followed by
Olivia Bauman and Johnson who tied with seven kills apiece. Juniors
Haley Snyder and
Kendall Knisley each had six kills of their own. Snyder led all UAH attackers with a .333 swinging percentage.

Kennedie Lariscy had a team-best 18 digs during the loss, marking the 10th time this season the junior has registered 15 digs or more.

The Chargers will look ahead to three conference matches in the coming week, with the first at home against Shorter on Tuesday at 7 p.m. UAH will then go on the road for contests at Mississippi College and Valdosta State next weekend.
