About the Chargers

  • The Chargers enter the weekend as the top team in the GSC among teams eligible for the conference tournament as the squad has a six-game winning streak that has propelled it to a 30-6 (15-6 GSC) record. UAH swept Valdosta State a weekend ago on the road, moving up to No. 7 in the nation in the process.
  • Reigning GSC Player of the Week Mary Kelley enters the weekend series on quite a stretch, including a season-best 11-game hitting streak – a mark that ties her with Kailtyn Bannister for the team's longest hitting streak of the season. The three-time All-American owns a team-best five home runs, and three of those came last weekend against Valdosta State.
  • The team started off the season slowly defensively, but the Chargers have tightened things up of late with a solid .974 fielding percentage in the team's last 10 games. That performance has boosted UAH's season mark to .965 which ranks third in the GSC. UAH features two players that rank in the top 10 individually in the GSC with Mallory McNeal tied for first with her perfect defensive mark, while Tyler Harrison is 10th at .992.
  • The UAH pitching staff continues to rank second in the GSC with a team ERA of 2.25, and UAH's 104 runs allowed on the season is also second-best in the conference. Individually, Emily Glover is the only Charger pitcher to throw enough innings to qualify for the ERA rankings as she sits third in the league at 2.55.

About the Opponent

  • Christian Brothers enters the weekend with a 9-29 mark, and the Bucs are 2-19 in conference play – including a 0-9 record on the road against GSC opponents. The team has won four of its last seven contests, but before that stretch CBU had dropped 13 straight.
  • The Lady Bucs hit just .250 as a team, but Marie Joiner paces Christian Brothers with a .331 batting average. Kylie Steagall's 28 RBI lead the way in that category as she also features a team-best seven home runs.
  • The CBU pitching staff features an ERA of 6.16 on the season, and both Kasey Beekman and Kim Adams are tied for the team lead with 28 strikeouts. The team has allowed 40 home runs on the season.

Series History

  • The Chargers own a commanding 16-2 lead in the all-time series with Christian Brothers. UAH is 6-0 against the Lady Bucs in the Rocket City, and the Chargers have won eight straight in the series.
