About the Chargers

  • The Chargers will place their perfect non-conference record on the line on Wednesday when the team – 33-6 overall on the season – travels to North Georgia for a battle between two of the teams ranked in the nation's top 10. UAH will also be looking to extend its season-best winning streak which currently sits at nine.
  • Boosting its road record to a strong 12-4 from a 3-4 mark on March 22, the Chargers have won nine straight away from the Rocket City. Victoria Frith has particularly enjoyed playing on the road, featuring a team-best .426 average in away games, and Kimberly Jack has allowed just one earned run on the road for a team-leading 0.22 ERA in 32.1 innings pitched.
  • UAH continues to lead the nation in stolen bases as the team is averaging more than four per game at 4.08 – well ahead of second-ranked Claflin which has stolen 2.98 bags per contest. Four Chargers rank in the top 50 in the nation in steals per game: Brianna Sullivan (9th, 0.83), Victoria Frith (14th, 0.77), Macie Couey (17th, 0.73), and Mary Kelley (41st, 0.56).

About the Opponent

  • North Georgia is also entering the doubleheader on a tear, winning 15 straight going into Wednesday. The Nighthawks – who have wrapped up the Peach Belt regular season title – are strong at home where they have posted a 14-3 record.
  • The team hits .291 as a unit, and Courtney Poole leads the way with a .385 mark while Kim McMillan hits .360 with a team-best 45 RBI. The team's strength is in the circle where Poole has a 1.85 ERA and Victoria Sink boasts a 1.76 mark. Opponents are scoring just 2.4 runs per game against UNG.

Series History

  • UAH holds a 10-7 advantage in the all-time series with North Georgia after taking a 6-4 decision earlier this year at the Chillout. The Chargers outhit UNG 10-7 in that contest with both Mallory McNeal and Brianna Sullivan driving in a pair of runs in the game.
