HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team dropped a Gulf South Conference matchup to West Florida on Friday evening at Charger Park by a final score of 4-0. UAH falls to 5-7-2 (2-6-1 GSC), while UWF improves to 9-3-0 (5-2-0 GSC).

West Florida began the scoring early on Friday as Amber Pennybaker netted her seventh of the season in the ninth minute to give the Argos a 1-0 advantage over the Chargers.

UAH was able keep the UWF offense quiet for the remainder of the half following the early goal, with sophomore goalkeeper
Larae Breaux making four key saves following the goal to keep the match within one score.

The Argonauts offense added to the 1-0 lead 10 minutes into the second half with Daryl Bell making it a 2-0 West Florida lead in the 55th minute, which was followed by another goal by Bell less than six minutes later in the 61st with her seventh of the season to bring UWF's lead to 3-0.

UWF's Kaley Ward capped off the scoring effort with a marker in the 64th minute to bring the match to its 4-0 final.

Breaux finished the game with six saves in 90 minutes of work.

UAH looks ahead to a Sunday match against GSC opponent Spring Hill at Charger Park on Sunday. Kick-off is slated for 1 p.m. in the Rocket City.
