CARROLLTON, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team fell to Eckerd 3-0 (18-25, 13-25, 22-25) on Saturday afternoon in the final day of the South Region Crossover hosted by West Georgia at the Coliseum. UAH slips to 15-8, while Eckerd improves to 11-7.

Kendall Knisley led the UAH offense on Saturday with a team-best eight kills on a .286 hitting percentage, while freshman
Haley Hop recorded her first career double-double with 22 assists and 10 digs in the loss.
Eckerd controlled much of the initial set and assembled a key 4-0 rally midway through the frame to take a 14-9 advantage. The Chargers trailed by as much as eight which UAH was able to cut to 21-17 down the stretch, but the Tritons took advantage of scoring three of the final four points for the 25-18 win in the first.
Following a dominant 25-13 victory for Eckerd in the second stanza, the Chargers bounced back to play a tightly contested third and final set. UAH trailed early at 7-4, but a 9-0 rally with senior
Alexis Deal serving vaulted the Blue and White to a 13-7 lead over the Tritons.
A pair of four-point runs by Eckerd turned the tables again to give the Tritons an 18-17 lead, and the Sunshine State Conference affiliate went on to win the set 25-22 on a 3-0 rally for the 3-0 match victory.
UAH jumps back into GSC play this week, beginning on Tuesday with a visit from West Alabama to Spragins Hall at 7 p.m. The Blue and White will then be on the road next weekend with trips to Shorter on Friday and Lee on Saturday.
