The opening minutes of the first half were a battle offensively for both squads, as the game was tied 2-2 with 16:47 left in the period. However, Christian Brothers' offense gained momentum and carried a nine-point lead at the midway point, which was stretched to 10 points as the game went into halftime.

Â
The Chargers were revitalized after the break and were able to cut the Bucs lead to one with 11 to go in the half, before taking a one-point advantage of their own on the tail end of a 9-0 run. The rest of the second half would remain a back and forth affair, and a late jumper by
Alysse Bishop sent UAH to overtime for the second time this season.
Â
Christian Brothers, however, was able to pull away in the overtime period after holding UAH to just five points in the five-minute period and take the GSC matchup with the 53-50 final.
