Softball Prepared to Host Lee on Sunday

UAH vs. LEE
Sunday, Feb. 22 | 2 p.m. (DH) | LIVE STATS
Monday, Feb. 23 | 12 p.m. | LIVE STATS

ON THE ROAD AT HOME: Inclement weather in the Cleveland, Tennessee, area this weekend has forced the series between UAH and Lee to Charger Park where the Chargers will be the away team on the scoreboard (but for NCAA statistical purposes, UAH will be the "home" team). Sunday's doubleheader will start at 2 p.m. followed by a noon game on Monday to conclude the series.

LOVING THE BROOM: With last weekend's sweep of West Georgia, the Chargers have now swept five straight conference series dating back to last season, resulting in a 16 consecutive wins in conference action.

IN THE CLUTCH: Brianna Sullivan – who leads the team with a .417 average – played a big role in lifting UAH to a series-opening win over West Georgia last week, driving in all three runs in the 3-2 victory, and both run-producing hits came with two outs. For the year, Sullivan is batting .429 with two outs. In the two-out RBI category, Sullivan ranks third with the three RBI behind Emily Glover's five and Tyler Harrison's four.

HARRISON DEALING: Sophomore Tyler Harrison's performance in the circle has been impressive so far this young season as she features a staff-best 4-0 record including a pair of shutouts which ranks her tied for second in the GSC. In her 20 innings pitched, the Mobile, Alabama, native has allowed runs in only three innings.

GETTING THEM IN: With runners on third and less than two outs, the Chargers are recording RBI in 61.5 percent of their opportunities on the season. Michal Robertson leads the team with five RBI in those situations, while Abby Roberts, Perri Gilbert, and Harrison each have a pair.

ABOUT THE FLAMES: Lee enters the three-game set with a 9-4 (1-2 GSC) record after dropping two of three to Union to start conference play last weekend. Dominique Hannah is batting an impressive .535 with 23 RBI to lead an offense that has scored 118 runs in 13 games, while Angie Hughes owns a staff-best 5-2 record in the circle.

SERIES HISTORY: Last year's meetings marked the first between UAH and Lee, and the Chargers swept the three-game set at Charger Park, outscoring the Flames 24-8 over the weekend.
