BEEN A WHILE: The Chargers 9-0 start is the best beginning for the program since the 1990 season, when the team had an 11-game win streak to start the campaign. The current nine-game streak is the longest win streak since the Blue & White rattled off 11 consecutive wins in 2004.
Â
HELPING HANDS:
Kirsten Giles has excelled in the setter position at the outset of her sophomore campaign, ranking third in the GSC with an average of 9.75 assists per set and second overall with 312 assists. This past weekend, the Hazel Green, Alabama, native had three games with 40-plus assists including a season-best 45 against North Greenville.
Â
YOUTH LEADS ATTACK: Freshman
Anna LeDuc continued her impressive collegiate start with four matches of 10-plus kills and three double-doubles with kills and digs this past weekend in the FMU Tournament. The Bentonville, Arkansas, native leads the roster with 103 kills while swinging .238 and ranking second on the team with 85 digs.
Â
DEFENSE IMPROVING: The Chargers are averaging 16.39 digs per set this season, which is markedly improved from last season when UAH averaged 13.78 through the first nine games. Freshman

Â
WOLVES PROFILE: West Georgia comes into Tuesday's matchup with a 3-1 overall record, after opening the season a week ago with wins over Albany State, Miles and Clark Atlanta. Helen Menchinger leads the UWG attack with 39 kills and a .360 hitting percentage, while Casey Roethler leads the defense with 32 digs. UAH owns a 40-13 record against UWG, with the Chargers taking both matchups last season.
Â
FLAMES PROFILE: Lee enters the week with a 3-1 record, following wins over Barton, Emmanuel and Bryan and a loss to Campbellsville in the Lee Invitational this past weekend in Cleveland, Tennesee. Stephanie Hernandez paces the defense with 51 digs, while Silvia Sartori leads the team with 45 kills. The Chargers went 1-1 against the Flames last season, winning at home and dropping the road contest. UAH owns a 21-13 all-time record versus Lee.

Shorter won both matches against the Chargers last season, with UAH holding a 1-8 all-time record against SU.
Â
