VALDOSTA, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team dropped a Gulf South Conference match on Saturday afternoon at Valdosta State by a final score of 3-0 (21-25, 16-25, 26-28) to wrap up the week's slate. UAH slips to 12-5 (6-4 GSC), while VSU improves to 7-10 (5-5 GSC).
Inside the Box Score

Haley Hop posted a strong defensive performance, as the sophomore led the team with 18 digs.

Anna Claire Johnson and 
Anna LeDuc joined Hop with double-digit digs with 12 and 10 respectively, while Johnson paced the UAH offense with nine kills.

Kirsten Giles registered a team-high 15 assists, followed by 
Jordan Grammer and LeDuc with four helpers apiece.

Rachel Brugman and Johnson tied for the team-high in service aces with two each, as UAH amassed a total of seven aces in the contest.

- With both teams tied at 21-21 late in the opening frame, Valdosta State pushed through with four consecutive points to take the first set 25-21.
- The Blazers were able to take a 2-0 match lead thanks to four runs of three-points or more as the hosts won the second set 25-16.
- The Chargers battled back late in the third set to lead 23-20 after a 4-0 run, but Valdosta State would turn the tables with a 4-0 swing of their own en route to the 28-26 match-clinching win in the frame.
