HUNTSVILLE | The No. 10 University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team cruised to victory on Tuesday night in the 2016-17 home opener, knocking off visiting Trevecca Nazarene by a 77-52 score at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. The Chargers improve to 4-1 on the season, while TNU slips to 2-4.

Turning Point
-With the visiting team going up by eight at the 7:36 mark of the opening half, Collin Langley and a whole host of other Chargers went on one of the more impressive stretches of the young season as they outscored TNU 18-0  over a span of nearly six minutes to go in front for good.

Inside the Box Score

-Eleven different Chargers scored in the contest, and 10 players had five points or more.
-Tanner Finley came off the bench and hit three 3-pointers on his way to scoring nine, and his performance aided in UAH outscoring the Trojans 41-9 in bench points.
-The Chargers were also terrific inside, recording 42 points in the paint to TNU's 20.
-On the night, UAH shot 46.2 percent while turning in a defensive performance that limited the Trojans to shoot just 28.4 percent in the game. The Chargers also were tops on the glass, outrebounding the guests 46-42.

Inside the Flow
-The Chargers laid claim to an early 13-6 run, but a 22-7 run over 6:07 allowed the Trojans jump ahead 28-20 before the previously mentioned 18-0 spurt lifted the home team back in front.
-UAH would lead 40-30 at the halftime break.
-Three different runs of 7-0 would be put together by the Chargers in the second half as the team led by as many as 29 points down the stretch.

-UAH held TNU to a season-low for the opposition to the year in shooting percentage at the 28.4 percent mark. The previous low was 34.0 percent by Saint Leo in the season opener.
-The double-double for Webster is his third straight and the fourth overall for the senior who entered play on Tuesday tied for seventh in the country in double-doubles.
