THE WEEK AHEAD: The No. 3 UAH softball team continues its eight-game road swing this week, taking its 26-6 (14-4 GSC) mark to Stillman for a 2:30 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday before venturing to Rome, Georgia, for a three-game set with Shorter on Friday and Saturday. Friday's doubleheader is slated for a noon CDT start while the first pitch for Saturday's single game will be at 11 a.m. CDT.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: UAH lost consecutive games for the first time this season, dropping both games of Saturday's doubleheader at Delta State, but the Chargers rebounded nicely with a 7-0 victory on Sunday to salvage the weekend.

AROUND THE GSC: Delta State's series victory over UAH allowed the Lady Statesmen to stay in first in the standings, but DSU is now sharing the position with North Alabama as both teams are now 16-2 on the season. The Chargers are alone in third at 14-4, while this weekend's opponent sits two games back as Shorter is 12-6 in league play.

CLUTCH WITH RUNNERS ON: The Chargers feature two players who are batting better than .400 with runners in scoring position as Kaitlyn Bannister is hitting .455 and Abby Roberts registering a .421 mark. Bannister's numbers are even more impressive in conference play as she is hitting .600 (15-for-25) with runners in scoring position while also logging nine RBI in 10 opportunities with a runner at third and less than two outs.

NEWCOMERS COMING ALONG: In the team's past 10 games, a pair of newcomers lead the Chargers in batting average as Sarah Jordan is hitting .545 during that stretch while also being perfect defensively, and Bridgette Wilson is hitting .455 over that span.

ABOUT STILLMAN: The Tigers are 10-12 on the season after putting together a successful weekend at the SIAC Crossover this past weekend where the team was 4-2. Sami Story leads the team with a .354 batting average, while Kersey Hunt owns a team-best 18 RBI. In the circle, Mickenzie Sparks has 53 strikeouts in 62 innings pitched.

SERIES HISTORY: After sweeping a doubleheader from Stillman last year, the Chargers are now 11-0 all-time against the Tigers.

ABOUT SHORTER: The Hawks will bring an 18-10 (12-6 GSC) record and a four-game winning streak into this weekend's series in Rome where the team is 11-6. Niki Cook is batting an impressive .464 on the season, while six home runs has helped Kameron Carter rack up a team-high 22 RBI. Payton Lippert is 9-6 and features a 1.64 ERA in the circle.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH leads the brief series 6-4 after last year saw the teams meet five times. The Chargers won the regular season series by taking two of the three contests, but Shorter took a pair of postseason contests, winning in both the GSC tournament and the NCAA South 1 Regional.
