BACK AT CHARGER PARK: The No. 3 UAH softball team returns to Charger Park this weekend for a Gulf South Conference series against Christian Brothers, and the Chargers carry an 18-3 (8-1 GSC) record into the weekend. The two teams will play a doubleheader at 2 p.m. on Saturday before wrapping up the weekend at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

AROUND THE GSC: Delta State is now the lone undefeated team in the conference, sweeping three straight series to sit at 9-0 in first one game ahead of UAH who is in second with its 8-1 record. There is a two-way tie for third with North Alabama and West Florida owning 7-2 marks.

CASHING IN: The Chargers are batting .347 with runners in scoring position on the year, and freshman Taylor Wascavage is leading the way with 13 hits in 24 at-bats for a .542 average, while senior Abby Roberts is also strong in those situations as she is hitting 12-for-26 for a .462 mark.

UP FOR THE CHALLENGE: UAH has been strong this season in scoring runs with two outs, holding a 56-24 advantage over the opposition in RBI with two outs, and the team is led by Kaitlyn Bannister and Tyler Harrison who both have 12 on the year. Additionally, Harrison has helped the cause by allowing batters to hit just .195 with runners on base.

ON FIRE: Bannister has been particularly impressive in conference play this season, leading the team with a strong .625 average in GSC games. The reining GSC Player of the Year has also recorded six doubles and two home runs while driving in 13 runs and scoring 13 times herself.

ABOUT THE BUCS: Christian Brothers comes to Huntsville with a 6-13 overall record, a 2-7 mark in conference play, and a 3-7 showing in road games. The team is led offensively by Holly Oyhenart's .452 average, while Jenna Cotter has a team-high 38 strikeouts in the circle.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH is 23-2 all-time against Christian Brothers after sweeping the Bucs last year in a three-game set in Memphis. Each of the games were run-ruled shortened as the Chargers outscored the Bucs 29-2 on the weekend.
