RECENT ACTION: The Chargers wrapped up the regular season home slate and Gulf South Conference play this past weekend, with an 18-5 win over Montevallo on Friday and a 17-16 loss to Young Harris on Saturday. UAH is now 11-3 overall and finishes 2-1 in the GSC.
COMING SOON: After the conclusion of the regular season this weekend, UAH looks ahead to the inaugural GSC invitational tournament from April 22-24. The top seed in the conference will host the invitational, and all seeds will be decided on Saturday when Young Harris and Shorter match up for the final league game of the regular season.
PUSHING THE TEMPO: The UAH offense paces the GSC and ranks second in the nation with an average of 16.86 goals per game heading into the final week of the regular season. The Chargers are led by
Nicole Federovitch's league-leading 61 goals and average of 4.36 in the inaugural season, which rates third in NCAA Division II.
ALL-AROUND STRENGTH: Four-time GSC Player of the Week
Natalie Pachinger had her most successful offensive output of 2016 in the YHC matchup on Saturday, as the sophomore posted nine points on eight goals and one assist. This season, Pachinger is second in the conference with 3.50 goals per game, while leading the league in groundballs (4.43) and ranking third in both caused turnovers (1.50) and draw controls (3.86).
BEARS PROFILE: Truett-McConnell opens the week with a 2-12 overall record and a 2-5 record within the Appalachian Athletic Conference, following an 18-2 loss to Tennessee Wesleyan this past Saturday.
CRUSADERS PROFILE: North Greenville holds an 8-5 overall record and a 3-3 mark within the Conference Carolinas, after a 16-9 loss against Pfeiffer over the weekend. The Crusaders are led by Hanna Hawkins with 27 points from 23 goals and four assists, while Sydney Taylor has started the majority of the time in goals for an 8.55 goals against average and a .527 save percentage.
