HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team topped Union by a final score of 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-15) on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall in a Gulf South Conference matchup.

Inside the Box Score
- In her first career start,
Isabelle Barnes supplied a team-best six kills and a .417 hitting percentage.
- Both
Anna LeDuc and
Caroline Sanford chipped in five kills each to rate tied for second on the offense.

Turning Points
- Both squads played closely at the outset of the opening set as the frame was tied 7-7, but UAH was able to take a key lead scoring five of the next six points to lead 12-8.
- The Chargers continued to roll in the second stanza, leading 13-6 early. UAH went on to win the set 25-17 on a 3-0 rally.
- With the third set tied at 8-8, the Chargers proceeded to take control of bthe frame scoring nine of the ensuing 10 points for a 17-9 advantage en route to the 25-15 win in the third and final frame.

Noteworthy
- Hop has now led the UAH defense in digs in each of the past four matches, averaging 21 scoops per match in that time frame.
- Barnes – a Madison, Alabama, native – had a season-high six kills in the match, topping her previous high of four kills set earlier this year against Spring Hill.
- UAH posted 9.0 total blocks in the contest, which gives the squad eight matches with 8.0 total blocks or more.
