ROME, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team fell on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 1-0 decision to host Shorter. The Chargers drop to 6-10-0 (4-9-0 Gulf South Conference), while the Hawks improve to 3-12-12 (2-11-0 GSC).

Turning Points
-The lone score in the game in the 11th minute when the Hawks were awarded a penalty kick, and Fiorella Gamarra stepped up to the spot and converted it to create the eventual 1-0 final.
-The Chargers nearly equalized the contest right out of the gates when the team had a great chance with the Shorter keeper out of her goal, but the Hawks recovered in time to stop
Riley Ridgeway's attempt.
-UAH also had a couple golden chances in the game's closing minutes including a shot from
Hannah Oglesby in the 88th that was saved.

-Shorter established a 12-7 advantage in shots in the contest, but the Chargers put four on frame compared to three by the home side.
-The Hawks also built up a 4-2 edge in corners on the afternoon.
