SEASON FINALE: The UAH women's soccer team will wrap up the 2017 campaign Thursday night at Charger Park, welcoming West Alabama for a 5 p.m. kick-off. The Chargers enter the game at 6-10-0 (4-9-0 Gulf South Conference).

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: The Chargers dropped a pair of heartbreakers on the road with both Lee and Shorter picking up 1-0 victories over UAH. In the Lee contest, Megan Buford made 12 saves and then only permitted a penalty kick goal in the contest at Shorter.

SENIOR NIGHT: Prior to the contest on Thursday, UAH will recognize its three seniors: Raichele Langford, Riley Ridgeway, and Sydney Pfankuch. Langford has amassed 14 points on six goals and two assists during her career, and she holds UAH's only hat trick this season. Owner of 54 career points, Pfankuch has scored 18 times and added 18 assists, and she was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection her sophomore season. Ridgeway has racked up 31 points from eight goals and 15 assists during her tenure, and her six goals this season represent a personal-best for the Athens, Alabama, native.

BUFORD'S FIRST SEASON: It has been a strong campaign in goal for the UAH goalkeeper Buford who owns a 1.56 goals against average while making a GSC-best 85 saves, and that save total ranks 43rd among all Division II keepers. The Union Grove, Alabama, native has twice logged double figures in saves as she registered 10 against McKendree in addition to the 12 she logged at Lee last Friday.

ABOUT WEST ALABAMA: The Tigers come to the Rocket City with an 8-7-0 overall mark and a 6-6-0 record in GSC play, and though UWA also lost 1-0 to Lee on Sunday, the team had reeled off five straight wins prior to that. With 10 goals, Marie Dreezen leads West Alabama offensively, while Jenni Aarniva owns a 1.33 goals against average in net for the Tigers.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 2-6-0 all-time against West Alabama, and it was the Tigers who claimed last year's meeting by a 3-2 margin in Livingston.
