NASHVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team found its way back to the win column on Tuesday night, snapping a two-game slide with an 84-69 victory at Trevecca Nazarene. The Chargers improve to 6-3 on the year with the victory, while TNU slips to 1-8.

Chayse Elliott went 11-for-14 from the floor including a 7-for-9 showing from beyond the 3-point line to score a game-best 29 points, helping the Chargers lead for nearly 35 minutes in the game.

Tanner Finley who knocked down three triples on his way to 14, while
Malik Cook-Stroupe added 12.

Seth Swalve scored 11 in the game with Owens also dishing out a team-high eight assists on the night.

-For the contest, UAH shot 58.5 percent while holding the Trojans to a shooting mark of 42.4 percent, and UAH knocked down 15 of its 28 3-point field goal attempts for a 53.8 percent success rate.
-The Chargers also won the rebounding battle, grabbing 35 boards to 25 for the hosts.

-The Chargers scored six of the game's first eight points to claim an early four-point lead at 6-2, and in what proved to be a tight first half, the guests would lead through most of the period including pushing the lead out to that same four-point margin on five different occasions in the first 15 minutes.
-With UAH leading 32-28 with 4:52 left in the period, the Trojans would score the next five points to go up 33-32 with 3:30 remaining for their first lead since the 13:40 mark, but the Chargers would close the period on a 14-4 run punctuated by a pair of Elliott triples to go into the locker room up 46-37.
-The lead quickly grew to as high as 11 after a Cook-Stroupe 3 at the 17:56 mark, but the Trojans would trim the UAH advantage to only four at 55-51 with 14:21 remaining in the game.
-The hosts, however, could pull no closer the rest of the way.

-The 29 points mark a career high for Elliott whose previous high was 18 against Christian Brothers on Jan. 9 of last season. He matched that previous total in the first half on Tuesday night.

-The eight assists for Owens represents a career best for the senior, surpassing his seven-assist showing from the North Alabama game on Jan. 30 of last year.
