CARROLLTON, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team fell to West Georgia on Saturday in a 64-58 loss. The Chargers move to 5-18 (4-14 GSC), while UWG improves to 11-10 (10-7 GSC).

Turning Point
-A 20-5 run for West Georgia to start the third quarter allowed the hosts to take what had been a 13-point deficit and turn it into a lead at 37-35 with 3:39 remaining in the quarter, and the team would enjoy the lead much of the rest of the way.

Inside the Box Score
-Chandler Elder was the lone player to score in double figures for the Chargers as she had 17 points, and she recorded a double-double as she also grabbed 12 rebounds.
-Elder just missed out on a triple-double as she also dished out a team-best eight assists.
-Aysha Harris had 16 to lead the Wolves.
-For the game, UAH shot 39.0 percent from the floor while West Georgia connected on 38.5 percent of its attempts, and the Chargers won the battle on the glass by a 38-33 margin.
-UAH earned just seven trips to the free throw line, while the hosts were 20-for-24 at the stripe.

Inside the Flow
-After UWG scored the game's opening points, the Chargers would score eight straight to go up 8-2 by the 6:59 mark of the first quarter, and the team would own a 20-11 advantage at the expiration of the period.
-The lead would grow to as many as 15 for UAH in the second, expanding to that margin when an Elder layup fell at the 3:35 mark, and after UWG scored with just under three minutes left, neither team would score again to produce a 30-17 lead for the Chargers at the break.
-West Georgia then used the aforementioned run that started the third quarter to take control of the game.

Noteworthy
-Elder's double-double is her sixth of the season, and the eight assists mark a season-high for the junior.
-The eight assists also represent the most collected by a Charger in a game this year.
