CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team topped Lee 10-9 on Sunday afternoon to cap off the three-game Gulf South Conference series. UAH improves to 3-7 (1-2 GSC), while LU slips to 9-2 (2-1 GSC).

- UAH benefitted from a pair of three-hit, two RBI performances by
Justin Ware and
Lance Cleveland en route to the Chargers first GSC win in 2017.

- The Chargers opened up the contest with a seven-run rally in the top of the first to own a 7-0 lead early, as
AJ Walden,
Nolan Ramsey, Cleveland,
Tanner Burns and Ware would record RBI in the frame.
- UAH would add one run to the advantage to make it 8-0 on a RBI single by Cleveland in the second, but Lee drew within three at 8-5 with a five-run rally in the bottom of the third.
- An RBI groundout by Rhodes extended the Chargers lead to 9-5 in the fifth.
- Lee went on to score one run in the sixth and plate an additional two in the seventh to slim the UAH lead to 9-8, but a RBI triple to right-center in the ninth by Burns gave UAH a 10-8 cushion.
