MEMPHIS | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team traveled to Memphis on Thursday night, falling 60-49 to host Christian Brothers in the penultimate game of the season. UAH slips to 5-21 (4-17 Gulf South Conference), while CBU improves to 13-12 (10-11 GSC).

Turning Point
-The hosts started the third quarter on a 17-0 run and outscored UAH 22-8 in the period to turn a six-point deficit into a lead that it would not relinquish.

Katie Speegle was the lone Charger to score in double figures as she was 5-for-9 from the floor while scoring 10 points.

-The Lady Bucs were led by Courtney Banks in the contest as she scored 22.
-For the game, CBU shot 40.7 percent from the field after connecting on 50.0 percent of its attempts in the third and fourth quarters, and the Chargers finished the night connecting on 37.7 percent of their shots.
-The Bucs also won the rebounding battle, grabbing 36 to UAH's 32.
-UAH's bench had a big night, outscoring the reserves for Christian Brothers by a 28-5 clip.

Inside the Flow
-After Christian Brothers hit a 3-pointer for the opening basket of the game, the Chargers then held the hosts to just five points the rest of the opening quarter while scoring 18 of their own to go into the second holding an 18-8 advantage.
-The lead would grow to as many as 12 by the 7:45 mark of the second stanza, and though a 12-4 run for CBU would cut the advantage to four, the Chargers would own a 36-32 lead at the half.
-After the 22-8 edge for CBU in the third, the game went into the fourth with the Bucs up 48-40, and the home team would start out the final quarter on a 6-0 run to push the lead out to its largest of the night at 54-40 with 8:03 left.
-The Chargers then went on a 7-0 run to pull back within seven at 54-47 with just under five minutes remaining in the game, but CBU then held UAH scoreless over the next four minutes to seal the contest.

-Speegle has now scored in double figures in three of the team's last six games, and on the year, she has totaled nine games in which she has scored 10 or more points.
-Elder has now paced the team in rebounding in 14 games on the season.

-The Chargers will wrap up the 2016-17 campaign on Saturday as the team travels to Union for a 2 p.m. contest. UAH was a 57-56 winner when the two teams met in Huntsville on Jan. 7.
