PENSACOLA, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team dropped the Gulf South Conference series finale at West Florida by a final score of 9-3 on Sunday afternoon at Jim Spooner Field. UAH slips to 10-12 (6-6 GSC), while UWF rises to 11-10 (6-6 GSC).

- After
Jay Copeland drew the Chargers within two at 5-3 with a solo home run, West Florida proceeded to score two runs apiece in the seventh and eighth innings to take the series finale 9-3.

- Following a scoreless first from both sides, West Florida pulled ahead with three runs in the second for a 3-0 lead.
- UAH found its way on the board in the top of the third on a two-RBI double to left-center by
Ben Rhodes to slim the host's advantage to a run.
- A two-run homer by Justin Ambrosino pushed the Argos lead to 5-2, but the Chargers responded with Copeland's solo shot in the top of the sixth drawing UAH within two at 5-3.
