Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla. | The 14th-ranked University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team dropped the series finale with West Florida on Sunday, falling 10-2 in six innings on the road. The Chargers slip to 17-9 (7-5 Gulf South Conference), while West Florida improves to 17-8 (5-7 GSC).
 
Noteworthy
-In the contest, Kaitlyn Bannister become the program's all-time leader in runs batted in when she homered in the fifth inning for her 233rd and 234th RBI in her career. The senior breaks the old mark of 233 which was set by current assistant coach Melanie Carter during her terrific four-year career in the Rocket City.
-Bannister registered 200 RBI in her first three seasons in the Blue and White.

-West Florida outhit the Chargers in the contest by a 12-6 margin with Rhiannon Sassman going 3-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.
-Bannister finished the contest 2-for-3 to lead the Chargers at the plate, while other hits on the day for UAH came from Reagan Malone, Tyler Harrison, Erin Jewell, and Sarah Jordan.
-Taking the setback in the circle for the Chargers was Taylor Doriety who went 2.2 innings and gave up four runs on five hits while striking out two.
-Hannah Murray and Rachel Burden finished the game for the Chargers by tossing 1.1 innings each.
 
Key Plays
-The game was scoreless through the first three and a half innings until the home team scored four times in the third while adding three more runs in the fourth to go up 7-0.
-UAH then got on the board with Bannister's home run in the fifth, but UWF added a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth to end the game early.

-The Chargers will be back in action on March 18 when the team welcomes Delta State to Charger Park for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
