HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team finished off the weekend Gulf South Conference series on Sunday at Charger Park with a pair of losses to Delta State in a doubleheader by scores of 11-4 and 6-3. UAH falls to 10-15 (6-9 GSC), while DSU improves to 18-7 (10-5 GSC).

Game-Changer
- After leading the Chargers 5-0 through four full innings, Delta State notched a four-run rally in the top of the fifth to take a pivotal 9-0 lead over the hosts on the way to an 11-4 win in the series finale.

- Following Delta State's four-run outburst to extend the lead to 9-0, UAH broke the Statesmen's shutout bid on a two-RBI single by ware in the bottom half of the fifth to slim the lead to 9-2.
- However, DSU proceeded to plate and additional run in both the seventh and eighth innings to push the visitors' advantage to 11-2.
- UAH went on to plate another run in the eighth on a RBI single by
Lance Cleveland in addition to one run in the ninth to bring the game to its 11-4 final.
- The Chargers totaled nine hits in the loss, led by Cleveland,

- Rappleyea – who just wrapped up his freshman season with the UAH hockey program – notched a season-best three strikeouts in his relief outing.
- Cleveland has three multi-hit games in 12 games played.

- With the Chargers leading 2-1 entering the top of the sixth, the Statesmen proceeded to rally for four runs in the frame to turn the tables and lead the contest 5-2 en route to the 6-3 victory.
