HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaker at home on Wednesday, battling to a 6-3 setback to Lee in a contest that easily could have gone the other way. UAH moves to 5-12 (0-5 Gulf South Conference), while the Flames improve to 7-3 (2-2 GSC).

The guests swept the doubles points, but both matches at the second and third positions were decided by razor-thin margins with the second pairing of
Elliot Hopson and
Sebastian Rohrbach falling 9-8 while
Timo Christen and
Harrison Stone also lost 9-8 at the third.

The doubles matches proved to be the difference as both teams then won three matches in singles action.

Chris Miller at the second spot earned a 7-6, 6-3 win for one of the UAH points, while Hopson was a 7-5, 6-4 winner at the fourth position. After dropping a 6-4 opener at the No. 3, Rohrbach battled back for a 6-1 victory in the second and then claimed the match when his opponent retired with the third tied at 5-5.

Christen battled tough at the fifth position, taking eight games from his opponent in falling 6-4, 6-4, while
Noah Pring won seven games in dropping a 6-3, 6-4 decision at the top spot.

The Chargers are slated to be back in action on Saturday when Christian Brothers visits for a 1 p.m. contest.
