MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team dropped the nonconference tilt at Auburn Montgomery by a final score of 12-6 on Wednesday evening. UAH dips to 14-16, while AUM improves to 14-16.

Game-Changer
- After UAH cut the Auburn Montgomery lead to 7-6 with a three-run rally in the top of the eighth, the War Hawks proceeded to rally for a total of five runs in the eighth to extend the lead to the eventual final of 12-6.

Inside the Box Score
- UAH starting pitcher Garret Bryant was tagged with two runs in the bottom of the first to give the hosts an early advantage, which the Chargers cut into with one run in the top of the second on a sac fly by
Tanner Burns to slim the deficit to 2-1.
- Auburn Montgomery added another run in the bottom of the fourth to lead 3-1, and that lead was quickly cut to one with a RBI single to left by
AJ Walden in the top of the fifth.
- One run by AUM in the bottom of the fifth and one run by UAH in the top of the sixth brought the game to a 4-3 War Hawks lead, prior to Auburn Montgomery extending its lead with a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh.
- The Chargers responded in the top of the eighth with their own three-run rally – highlighted by a two-RBI by
Justin Ware – before the War Hawks brought the game to its final score of 12-6 with the five-run bottom of the eighth.
- UAH registered a total of 13 hits in the loss, led by
Jay Copeland and
Wright Hackett with three base hits apiece.
- Ware finished with a team-high two RBI.
- Bryant was tagged with the loss to drop his season record to 0-1, after tossing 3.0 innings with two earned runs allowed.

- Ware's two-RBI performance was his third of the season, and he's increased his team lead in doubles with 10 his two-bagger at AUM.
- Copeland now has eight multi-hit games.
