MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team dropped a nonconference matchup at Montevallo by a final score of 18-8 on Wednesday evening to open the week's slate. UAH slips to 8-11, while UM improves to 11-9.

- A total of four Chargers recorded multi-hit performances in the contest Wednesday, led by shortstop
Tanner Burns who went 3-for-6 at the plate with one RBI.

- UAH was first on the board in the top of the second as both
Robby Seemann and
Jay Copeland scored on a throwing error by Montevallo's Justin Whitley.
- Montevallo cut the UAH lead in half with one run in the second before rallying for four runs in the third and three runs in the fourth to lead the Chargers 8-2.
- The Chargers drew within three at 8-5 after a two-RBI single up the middle by
